Session A - vendor image

How AOL upgraded, modernized and migrated a large authentication application ON TO the NonStop with little cost and no downtime!

The global nature of the Internet has driven the need for 7x24 availability into every aspect of the enterprise. Downtime means loss of revenue, loss of confidence, loss of customers. More and more flexibility, scalability and availability are expected without question. By leveraging HP NonStop technology with advanced replication software, the enterprise can now respond to even the most rapidly changing requirements without foregoing features, functions or missing a single transaction.

Speaker: Rob Lesan

Rob Lesan is a 20+ year NonStop veteran currently managing more than 40 systems handling all of AOL's authentication and legacy email. He lives in Northern Virginia and is the current president of the Mid Atlantic Tandem Users Group. He manages to keep things together working as a systems administrator, systems programmer, DBA, and application developer. He has worked in NonStop industries from telecommunications to finance. He and one other person manage all of AOL's NonStop assets.
